The open style endcap on ebay will work, and for cost vs performnace it's hard to beat. The OMR carb modes are absolutly the best bang for your buck if you're gonna stick with the stock carb for awhile because it's free and you can find the info on how to do it on the forums. Big Gun (on ebay) is the only cheaper CDI you should consider stay away from Procom and the others in this range. RW, Vortex, and maybe DYNA if you want to step up in the price range on your CDI. As far as the intake, if you do the OMR mods there will be instructions on what to do with the airbox to increase flow. When you're ready to really start modifying, look up OMW racing.

No problem. The endcap, cdi, and the OMR mods will get you going pretty good for not much money. You might consider dropping down a tooth on the front sprocket, it's another cheap popular mod.

Hey everybody......i have a 04 ds650 that was handed down to me....and i was wonering what you guys would suggest.....i have a fmf powercore 4 slip on pipe for it and a uni foam filter and recently did a valve adjustment on it. Im looking to up the power a bit without getting too deep into the motor. Maybe a rev box or jetting or something.....would really appreciate it if you could give me some help here. thanx

Holly Post resserection Batman! Man wish I had a Sand Pig handed down to me lol. Well for starters you have a great base to work with. The very first thing I would do is the OMR stock carb mods. They should be sticked at the top somewhere. They are as cheap as you can get being that I did mine for free and they help a ton. I have a Big Gun CDI on mine and for the Price/Preformance you cant beat it. Depending on where you ride and your tire combo putting a new front sprocket on can help alot. Also check out www.DS650.org They have a lot of good info dedicated to the DS. Welcome to the gang.

Thanks Shaun..... Im leanin towards the big gun CDI box. Can you tell me where the cdi box is located on the bike....i have done some research but didnt get anywhere, and i cant find it on the bike. I ride the imperial dunes in southern cali. I have 21x7x10 Kenda dune runners up front and in the back i have 20x10x10 8 paddle Skat trak haulers. What would you suggest. I dont know anything about the sprokets or gearing haha. And also....how hard would it be and how long would it take to chang the front sproket? Thanks for your help.
