Lower suspension
#1
I was thinking of getting into the local ATV MX circuit. I've noticed that thier bikes are lower than stock. How do they do it? Can it be done to a stock DS suspension? Now guys before you started this IS A LOCAL curcuit and I'm not looking to spend the big bucks yet. Just looking to lower the center of gravity.

Hey Pro, the other bikes have the aftermarket shock that are made to have more sag than normal. Also thae a-arms like Roll Design provide a bit of lowering to the front end. Going to a smaller rear tire like an 18" and gearing up will even out the difference between the 20" and 18" tires. The 18" will drop the center of gravity more, and think about some new holeshot 19" fronts like what Travis Spader is running. Other than that, I think that's all that can be done. Good luck and let us know how you do.

Custom Axis has the rear shock developed now. It runs $895. It has dual springs, compression and rebound adjustment, preload adjustment, spring crossover adjustment, and runs more sag which will lower the center of gravity. Of course the shocks are customized for your weight and type of riding. 4-6 weeks for delivery. The fronts are under development, but may be a month or two out. They will most likely be triple rate!
