Default Aftermarket Exhaust

I'm curious what brands of aftermarket exhaust you guys think work best for the DS650's, as far as sound and performance?

The best quality exhaust i have ever had PERIOD would be my yoshimura rs-3.....awesome power upgrade and one of the best sounds by far.

Ditto on the Yoshi RS-3. Near the top of my favorites. The Big Gun Race series complete is an awesome pipe. The HPR end cap is the shizzle. Some of the stuff I found that didn't perform up to expectations were the HMF pipe and the end caps with the discs. I know they are required in places for sound resstrictions but at Glamis and Dumont I lost power with the disc type end cap, no matter how many or how few disc I put in.
These recommendations are for duning applications, not flat drags or hill shooting. That's another question alltogether, but can be answered by many pros on here.
And alot depends on your poweradders and mods also. Everything goes hand in hand...

The engine is stock for the time being. Not much I need to do to it. As far as applications, the only riding I do is at the dunes and desert riding. I don't race or do the drags or anything. I just want better sound without hurting performance. On the other hand, helping performance is always a plus.

I have a 2000 ds650 & after the Big Gun was installed it became known as the BEAST!! I also like they they are a local company for us SoCal riders so getting them on the phone for some 411 is always easy.

Where are you located Wreckr? If you're duning and you're bone stock then yoou should atleast do the OMR stock carb mods, and add some aftermarket exhaust. BG or Yoshi work well with the mods.

I live in arizona. I go to the dunes probably just as often as I ride in the desert out here. Would you guys recommend getting a slip on or the complete system. Hate to spend another $200+ for nothing. ha.

for 500$ you can buy a Ron Woods Racing pipe, that's what i would buy over anything... my buddy just made a full pipe for his KFX450 and I would do that anyday over buying one...it looks just as good, made with your own personal detail... if your into fab work
