Renegade 500 owners. Likes and dislikes???

I would recommend doing the frame mod - trust me. One hit the wrong way and the hollow sst frame will bend, twist, or even snap. There is a wealth of information online from people who have used square steel tubing, UHMV plastic, or the aluminum chassis spine. I have used the tubing on one quad and the UHMV on another. Personally I think the tubing was the more bulletproof of the two.
Other than that, upgrade your tires to Maxxis Zillas. You will be thrilled with the results!

I did order athe UHMV plastic spine for his quad. For $100, and the terrain we ride, it's almost a no brainer to me. On the tire front, he'll have to decide what he wants to do. This one is HIS quad and I don't have the money to pour into it. It seems like the Holeshots will be good in everything but deep mud. It will be fun to pull him out if he gets stuck. It will make up for him leaving me in the dust...

We were at a mud run competition and someone brought a Renegade 800, bone stock, and he DOMINATED the competition. He was roosting the whole way through the puddle.

I'll have to make sure I go through first! He likes roosting people. There is one water/mudhole we went through one year where I barely made it out and he was stopped in the last 5 feet. I'll have to see if he wants to try that one again.
