My brother in law and myself are going up, we normally stay at Sand Hills, but not sure if we are staying the night this year or just making a day trip, I am pushing for a few days of riding. How is the camping at Oasis, we normally tent it so thats why we have chosen Sand Hills in the past. Really looking forward to meeting some more of the DS community.

The camping at oasis will b just like Sandhills, cept no grass. Water is close, but if you are only gonna stay one night,no need to go all the way to Sandhills. Come on over we will be camped in the corner of the dry camp at Oasis.

Well, even if five of us show up then that's more than last year. Could this be the last one??? I know "tradition" is Labor Day but here in Cali school has already started then and it's hard for most to get away. And it's too hot anywhere other than Idaho or Utah. Maybe it's time to rotate it between Glamis and Dumont and hold it during the riding season.
Just sayin'.

Ya, but our "riding season" is now!!! LOL

We have no problem with a winter trip to Dumont, just dont expect us at Glamis anytime soon. If it werent so damm far it might be diff., with little ones its tough to justify a 14hr drive,LOL. Dumont is closer by 7 hrs so that is WAY more doable.
