ignition key mod?

ignition key mod?
anyone know if you can grind the plastic off the bottom of the key and get it to work both sides?
The top & bottom look identical except the bottom has a a little plastic filling in the key "bumps". If you flip it, everything is exactly the same-

I'm assuming that that is not a DS key!?! This forum was so much easier when it was ONLY the almighty DS. So complicated now....

no- the bottom of the key part is exactly the same on both sides top & bottom- as you cab see in the pics, the key holes are in the same location whether it's up or down, the metal contacts are also the same- it just looks like the factory grinded only one side of the key.
I'm 99% sure you could grind the tiny bit of plastic off the other side and make it work both ways- but I'll wait to hear back from can-am before I do it.
For some reason at night- I always put it in backwards, I'd like to make it work both ways if I can.
