Default DS650 Tach Inop

I just got a 06 DS650 baja a couple weeks ago. I bought it with the tachometer not working. Figured id rip into it and see what the deal is. I have good power and good ground going to it (red wire-power, black-ground). However, there is a green wire that it just hangin, not connected to anything. Im assuming this is a signal wire to somewhere. It has a tab on the end of it like it slides into somthing, but i cant seem to find it anywhere. Maybe coming off ignition box somewhere?? Keep in mind, it looks like the prev owner or someone did some state of the art re-wiring in here with good ol finger twistin and tape. So somethin could be missin here. Any help or guidence would be appreciated before i gotta break down and buy an electrical schematic. thanks.

That green wire will connect to the coil (left one as you sit on it). There should be a double tab terminal on that coil. That green wire will connect to one of those tabs. The other tab will have a wire that connects both coils.

FYI - The coils are behind the oil tank/top of the radiator. One on the left, one on the right of the steering stem.

So I checked out that left side coil and its only got 1 tab on it. the right side only has 1 also. So did someone possibly replace that left side with the wrong side coil? Do I need to get the proper one?
