I read in "ATV Sport" that the 2001 Ds has a new "starter jet".Could someone tell me what size it is? Thought I might TRY it in my 2000 DS,does help, has anyone done this ?Did it help off idle response ?

the 2001 starter jet is a #45. the dynojet kit, a larger pilot jet, and the 2001 carb spring help throttle response.

Thanks Scooby, I have the 2001 updates, dyna jet kit already .Still seems to have a slight hesitation,do you think this will make it go away if I replace the "starter jet" with the 2001 size?

I don't know if the starter jet will help. The pilot jet and pilot fuel screw is where I would start. You should check to see where the pilot fuel screw is set. It may be set too lean. Try turning the screw a couple of turns out/richer and see if it helps. If so you may be better off with a larger pilot jet. Stock is #40.

What pipe and airbox setup are you running?
