Default ds 650 popping....Jetting?

I just got a 02 DS650 baja. When at full throttle or 3/4 throttle it starts popping. Kinda sounds like what a rev limiter does. Climbing hills can be a challenge and eventually it kills it. Once you back off the throttle it stops. Im thinking its a jetting issue, but I could be wrong. Pulled the carb apart and it has a 175 main jet & 45 jet. Needle is in 3rd position. Air box lid is off, has alba exhaust, k&n filter, and I am in kansas at almost 3000ft. As far as I know everything else is stock. Alba website says 200 main and 47.5. With a dyno needle on 5th positon and they recommend a k & n filter. Where is the best place to buy the jets I need, and do you guys think these are ok? I looked at rocky mountain atv and couldn't find any that big. Willing to hear any and all suggestions!!

I would install the lid and see if it gets better ... other than that move the needle clip down a notch and try a 185 jet ... 200 seems real (safe) rich .....

Your jets sound about right. I run 180 at Glamis and Dumont and 167.5 for Little Sahara Utah and St. Anthony Idaho.
Research the tank vent hose for the solution to your problem. It's happened to many folks, something so simple causing such great headaches...
Once you get the popping rectified research the OMR stock carb mods and do them. You'll be glad you did.
