head bolts came loose!!!
so i finally got around to taking my ds for a quick spin and when i came back i noticed an oil leak in front of the motor.. after looking around it seemed to be coming from the headgasket..... the bolt by the exhaust and the 2 allen head caps by the cam chain were what felt to be finger tight..(vibrated loose???) i tightened them all all to 28 ft.lbs...
since oil was leaking out i thought i better check the oil, no milky oil, and no white smoke...
do you guys think it will be ok??? doesn't seem to be leaking oil any longer, but since oil got through will it seal again properly????
or should the head gasket get replaced????
also when idling it seems to run better with the choke on half way... could this be a sign of an air leak at the headgasket?? or am i way over thinking it..

Can the head be easily pulled with the motor in frame???.
I will keep an eye on it .. it just seemed like those 3 bolts vibrated loose and oil started leaking.. other than the oil leak I would have never known, no milky oil, and no white smoke... I hope retorqueing those bolts made it right again.. I haven't rode it since though.

Nope, not easy at all!
Since you have retorqued everything I would degrease the motor so that you will be able to quickly spot anymore leakage, then take her out and run her though some paces. you "should" be okay since you say there was no mixing of coolant and oil.
The valve cover is about the only thing easy to remove with the motor still in the chassis, and that's not real easy. Tight fit all the way around. Once you pull the motor the first time though and bust up some knuckles you will have learned quite a few tricks to make the following removals much simpler.
