2013 Can am 500 steering

2013 Can am 500 steering
I took my 500 renegade out for its first ride this weekend and I noticed that the steering column and handlebars move up and down about 1-2 inches. I'm guessing something wasn't tightened down enough, any ideas? It looks like it is moving toward the bottom where it connects to the tie rods. any help is appreciated
