Default Traxter 500 4x4 missing an engine casing part

I need some help identifying what part is missing , and possible part number. I am almost certain this is the cause of my oil leak at the right rear of the Rotax engine. looks like some sort of cover possibly with a gasket to cover up a short shaft end sticking out of the casing

I'm not sure why this is missing, this Traxter was given to me yesterday, with an oil leak, thanks in advanced for any help

Well, I have found the missing part
it is called " Potentiometer (Transmission) part number 420265611

not sure if I can find a used one, they want $ 90.00 for a new one

is there any ideas on how to cover up that opening for now, so I can run it?

I know that my gear selection lights are flashing, from this part being missing, however my concern right now is the oil spitting out that opening when the engine is running

thanks for any input
