Default Renegade 800R X xc vs. Polaris Scrambler 850

I currently have a 2010 Kawasaki Prairie 360 and am looking to upgrade to something with more power as it's hard to keep up with my friends with Kawasaki Kfx700's and Yamaha Grizzly 650's. I'm stuck between the Can-am Renegade 800R X xc and the Polaris Scrambler 850. What I get out of both is they are pretty much matched, minus the beadlocks on the can-am and the Polaris got a bigger engine. I'm about 5' 7" and 185 pounds. I'm usually riding on flat/rocky surfaces, and fast moving rocky trails. I also like the occasional drag race and love and I mean LOVE doing donuts. So, I'm still left wondering which ATV to choose out of the two. Please help me decide. I weigh the plusses and minuses but they all end up evening out. What are the major pros and cons of each?

*I will also post this in the Polaris thread as I dont want it biased. . .

The rene 800 - nothing except the rene 1000 will keep up with you.

Yup. Or the new scrambler 1000. OP: Even though the Scrambler has a larger engine it still lacks power compared to the Renegade 800.

They will pretty much be dead even the two in power so it comes down to the other things. But I have to ask, why a 750lbs utility quad if you guys ride at those speeds? Wouldn't a sport quad be more ideal?

Renegade and Scrambler are not utility. As far as I have read the Polaris 850 makes 60ish HP Maybe mid 60's? The can-am 800 makes 71 or 72.

Edit: Also OP, if you're riding a prarie 360 and only having trouble keeping up with your larger displacement friends due to lack of power, then either of the Renegade or Scrambler will have you ahead of the pack easily. Remember it's mostly the rider, not the machine.

They are utility Outlanders and XPs with sporty plastic with the ranks removed. and they make almost 80hp.
Check it out they have the same motor and chassis, suspension, frame and even gas tank. as the utility version.

I stand corrected on the output of the Polaris. 77HP. The pre 2012 has 69HP.

They are not marketed, however, as utility. Same as my old 2008 ZZR 600 was marketed as a Sport Touring bike when in reality was a ZX6R from 2002.

The renegade has slight differences than the outty but is still the same machine at heart. Way to heavy to be considered a true sport atv let alone it's automatic, shaft driven and has 4 wheel drive. The scrambler on the other hand seems to be the exact same as the sportsman XPs, they didn't even separate the brake controls

There is no true 4x4 sport ATV made.

Be like Yamaha putting Raptor plastic on a 700 Grizzly . anyone can jump on that band wagon.
