Ok guys my 2000 650 is having problem starting. Put in a new spray clutch and cleaned the carb all up nice. Now it won't start. i just keeps turning over. I checked the plugs and they are getting stark. Im going to get new plugs tomorrow and see if that might help. I wanna do a compression test and see how that goes. Can some one walk me through how to do a compression test? I also wanna check the timing. Can someone please walk me through how to check the timing?

You are experiencing a very common problem. You have a couple of bent Shift forks in the tranny. I have done the repair on both of my DS650's. It is a pretty involved repair but not really hard. There is a great set of instructions on here done by Hightower with pics and everything. If you are able you can do it yourself. When you get it apart (splitting the cases) it best to send the tranny gears to Eric at OMW to have him back cut the gears. It makes the tranny shift like butter and you will never miss a shift again.
