I have a 2004 BUck 500 that won't start when I hit the start button you can just hear the solenoid click. Tough to pull start but it will start that way. I have tested the battery and ensured good voltage to the solenoid and from the solenoid to the starter. Bypassed the system with a cable from the battery to the starter and it engages but is very laboured so I am assuming I need to replace the starter. Replacement starter from JD and BRP is between 700-800 dollars but I can get one off ebay that has the replacement part number for under a 100.00. My question is have I done enough testing to ensure its the starter and has anyone used a replacement starter with any success? Thanks for any feedback
