my dad broke his hip recently. recovering well, wanted me to run his 08 outlander 400ho while layed up. took short ride today,both temp and water level lights lit up. i stopped , radiator was empty. it took 3 12oz water bottles to fill it. ran it, checked both hoses , both were warm, rad is still full. i checked the oil for water or gas and found none. warning lights are still on, am i missing something ? or is it like a car where i have to reset the box by disconnecting the batt to reset the lights ?

 

now it cranks but won't start . any help please.
