Friend of mine bought a new Can Am 90 for his son a few years ago. He goofed and ran it low on oil and locked the engine up. He took it back to the dealer and they quoted him $1500.00 to rebuild it. I told him I suspected he could get a new engine cheaper then that. We are going to pick it up next week to haul it home, neither of us are mechanics and could not rebuild ourselves. I told him if nothing else he might be able to part it out. I am not sure if there is much of a market for parts from these or not. He hates to dump $1500 this size. Curious what you guys might do in this situation?
