I have finally accessed and removed my Mpem from my 2005 traxter max xt. Problem is that I hit the start button and nothing but when I jump it between the starter solenoid it fires up. When I kill it with the stop button everything functions as expected and it kills engine. I did indeed jump it from my vehicle when then battery was dead and pretty sure everything started after that. Are you saying that there are replaceable diodes that are causing this issue?

was the 20 Fuse on the left of the motor compartment blown?

It may be the diode as the issue. They are not readily replaceable. The MPEM is potted in rubber and to work on it the rubber must be carefully dissected.

If it fires up the problem is not the MPEM. The MPEM being ruined will prevent the engine from running or anything from working. It soulds like you have a bad fuse or starter switch

I think you missed a number. Is it 2000 or 2001?

Default 2001 Bombardier 500 Traxter

I have the same issue with my 2001 traxter 500 It appears that the MPEM has been damaged due to my handyman tried to start the 500 from another vechicle. I am blowing the 20 amp fuse every time I turn the red switch that activates the electrical system. I am looking to find someone who can repair the MPEM for me instead of having to buy a new MPEM for my 4-wheeler. The best price I have found for a new MPEM is $724 Please let me know if you know someone that I can hire to repair my existing MPEM Thank you. Mick Reina 208 290 5345

If it cranks and you see a spark the problem is probably not electrical.
most likely it is fuel system or carb.

On the other hand if it does nothing and it started doing that after the battery went dead and was jumped off the computer (MPEM) may be fried. I can fix the large two plug computers for this and only this problem.

I hope this helps.
Hello Mrs eddie i have a mpem with blown fuse could you take a look at it and would it be possible to get an estimate for the job and also where about are you located thanks so much jon
