Graydon pipe
#11
jeffnrivercity,It did not work!It started leaking again.I put the stock pipe back on with the Graydon tail.I will also warn you guys with Graydon, that the head pipe will also melt right threw the case hose that runs between the head and Graydon pipe. The 2000 DS,I think runs to the radiator and up.The 2001 runs up the case and around the head.Graydon should have just made a slip on, and charged $250-$280 .I will say, that I still love the power gains and looks from the Graydon, but they should not have made a head pipe,if that is the best they can do.It blows,no sucks, and is not worth $400.

I wouldn't go with anything from Graydon until they work out those major quality problems.
My story with them goes like this:
In Feb this year I ordered the full exhaust system and nerf bars. They said it would take just a couple of days until they ship the things out.
As I live in Europe and had to pay a LOT of money to ship it here I asked them to PLEASE triple check everything before they send it to me.
As a side note I can say that I was speaking to Steve Graydon about a dealer agreement to Portugal, because Graydon as no commercial presence here.
Back to the point, when they finally shipped the parts - after 3 months of waiting and phone calls - they forgot to put inside all the screws needed, instructions, silicone and the head pipe doesn't fit. Still they haven't forgot 8 stickers...(they were probably short on screws so they sent the stickers to hold on the pipe and nerf bars!)
So, no need to say that I will not sign any dealership agreement and that any of my friends wishes to buy anything from Graydon now.
Bad quality policy I say!

Well, I got my pipe in today. Thanks to the reports I got from fellow graydon pipe owners, I was able to correct the problem before it started. I put some hi temp rtv all around the head pipes before slipping the middle section onto them. I ran it for a few hours and no leeking so far, I hope it holds. I do love the power, I was able to keep the front end up through fourth geer today.
