Default Can am rear diff

I have a 2016 650 Outlander xmr. I've been reading alot about rear diff problems on these bikes. I've noticed on mine it has a lot of backlash. Enough you can feel and hear it coming on and off the gas. And can rotate the rear drive shaft back an forth a noticeable amount. Just wondering if anyone has pin pointed just what is causing these diffs to fail.
Thanks in advance

Iv never seen a diff fail in a 650 and barley in a 850 its usually the 1000 that will blow the diffs and 90% of the time it has to do with the right thumb control

I ride a cat and i know it has more backlash than a veh just due to the way gears are cut.... I hang out at the can am dealer shop and cannot honestly remember what the backlash is on them iv seen enough of them apart changing oil seals.... If my can am shows up this week at the dealer ill let ya know.. Waiting for a new/used 850 to show up
