I have got it down to 4 pipes and I need help deciding. Big Gun complete, Alba, Custom X, and FMF slip on. Or should I just go with a Woods stage 1 kit, I plan on getting a CDI any way! I'm putting the new performance of my DS in your hands. Because I trust consumers not salesmen!! Thank you very much.

I can talk as a "non salesman" about the pipe. I currently have a Big Gun and am not at all satisfied with it. It did not fit properly from the day I bought it. I had to cut 1/4" off of one head pipe to get it to seat to the head and the other pipe seated too deep in the middle pipe for the spring to stay on. It leaks at every joint and the finish, while it hasn't flaked off, dulled to an ugly finish almost immediately. I would not use an exhaust that extends past a grab bar either though. I've had 2 people flip my DS over backwards and would have had to buy a new exhaust each time had it extended past. No one plans to do it, but it happens, it's nice when a mistake doesn't cost too much. Right now I'm leaning towards the Custom X, there must be something right when every one that has one has nothing but praise for it.

Now I put on the salesman hat and tell you that Team Pami sells ignition boxes that cost less than the Ron Woods Racing box and create the exact same power according to my dyno tests. I've done these tests on 3 different DS's in various stages of modification and got exactly the same dyno charts with there box and ours. [I was hoping ours would be better, but I'm not going to lie about it] If you would like to see what Team Pami has to offer, check out there web site at www.team-pami.de and if you have any questions or would like to order, please e-mail me.

Look at the posts under "DS650 Custom X Series 2 Dyno results". I don't see how anyone could go wrong with the Custom X pipe. I am very close to ordering at this point.

Thats 2 for Custom X. Does any one have any experince with Alba? I read that there pipe puts out 10hp @ 3500rpm thats huge!! I think they also have a rev box. And the Woods stage 1, does it put out more than a good pipe, dynojet kit, K&N, and a good aftermarket rev box?
Thanks Again

I have the Alba I just order the Custom-X. From the Dyno same HP but at only 90 Db. Of all the pipes I have tryed the Big Gun is best built then Graydon then Alba. I used the Alba cause it wrok with the Qwiksilver carb.

I read on other posts that the FMF slip-on works pretty well. I ordered one last week and am expecting it, maybe today. The stock headpipe seems fine, and the FMF is less money, $240, including shipping from Rocky Mountain ATV. The
FMF doesn't seem to make the Raptor boys happy though, I am getting a HMF slip-on, only $150,
for our almost here, this week I hope, Black & White Raptor.

i have stage 1 kit with the woods pipe, why don't you want the pipe thats made to work with the kit? mines great, no leaks, no packings blowing out, no welds breaking, no problems.
