Carb Jet Kits
#1
I am new to working on carbs so need all the help I can get. What are the differences between the carb jet kits, if any, that we can get? The two I see the most are K&N and Dyno. Do they all include the same parts? I plan to install an after market slip on pipe, probably a Custom X, will I need to change the jetting? I ride from sea level to 3500 feet elevation.

Recently I obtained the K&N power kit which included:
1 K&N Air Filter
1 Pre Filter AKA: Outerwear but made by K&N.
1 cleaning/re-oiling kit
1 set of dynojet jets etc
a couple of stickers
I think that is it.
I'm sure that answers your question, K&N uses the Dynojet jets in their Power Kit. The Power Kit is a good thing for anyone to have. I'm about 95% sure you will need to re-jet if you add the pipe. If you make extreme changes in elevation and climate, you may need to rejet even a stock machine.

What does the K&N Jet kit cost alone without the K&N filter? I already have the K&N filters and just need the jet kit. Also what are the settings for a stock machine with just the K&N filter? (Doing it a step at a time.)
