Ds 650 crank bad need help

Hello new here so straight to the point I just acquired a 2000 ds 650 I got it home checked the fluids it sat for 5 plus years It had coolant and oil in it was told it needed a head gasket I got it in the shop put battery power to it put gas in it fired up no problem it ran for a few min no more than 5 I just wanted to know it ran good and it did for 5 min and then got tight and removed jug and head to find a torched con rod bearing I want to fix this machine but I'm not putting a $800 crank and rod in it it's still free just tight and ther is heat marks on the big end bearing what do I do herd of a needle bearing set up any ideas ?

should have stripped it down and replaced the bearings before even firing it up. If it had coolant in the oil and sat for that long the whole bottom end was probably rusty... You may be able to get away with sending the case and crank to a machine shop and having it fixed and putting over size bearings in. But in the long run you are still going to spend about the same money as just replacing the crank...
