water in oil

went riding on weekend and noticed coolent resivour empty.i checked oil and it was milky.
got home and put pressure tester on radiator and
it didnt lose any pressure.i havent tried getting bike hot to test.has anyone else had similar probs.

I have heard of problems with the seal(s)in the water pump letting it leak into the crankcase. Not sure how to check it though as I haven't had the problem.

It is not an unusual problem. I would venture to guess that it is the seals on the water pump. I discovered this problem from motor cores being sent back to me with bad seals. Simply remove the water pump housing from the engine side cover, then remove the side cover from the engine. remove the pin from the impellor of the water pump and slide the shaft out of the engine cover. Gently remove the 2 seals from the cover and discard them. Replace both of them being carefull to seat them correctly. The first should be bottomed in the hole while the second should only be pressed flush with the surface. This should leave a space between the 2 seal, and that space is important for a weep hole. Re-assemble, and go ride. The seals are only about $3 a piece.

make sure the head is torqued to spec.

I agree with Knutz as I have experienced this problem as well. I would add one tip though, when installing the outer seal place a proper sized drill bit in the weep hole until it bottoms out against the opposite side of the seal housing then install the outer seal until it seats against the drill bit and carefully remove the bit. This will insure a proper spacing for the weep hloe to perform it's function. The reason the coolant is getting into the oil is that the seal, when driven in flush, is covering the hole and defeating it's purpose. When the coolant seal wears out, and it will, the coolant has nowhere to go except into the crankcase. Super easy fix though.
