Just some info on another carb issue, I wanted to replace my stock carb with a Mikuni 42MM flat slide non-vacuum type carb. Well Team Pami has a wait requiring prepay prior to order, Woods does not have the 42MM ready as of two weeks ago, and I realy did not want to pay approx. $600.00 for the Woods 45MM carb set-up. So I was in contact with CARB PARTS WAREHOUSE in OHIO, they said they had a 42MM carb for the DS and that the twist cable would work with the carb. Anticipation was killing me, I got the carb and it looked a lot like my friends Woods 45mm but this one had the accelerator pump. Sure enough it was to good to be true, the carb seems to be a little short (length wise), the cable attachment was not set up for the twist cable, and there was an extra open port directly off the choke circuit. In addition there was not a choke, only an attachment fitting. When I looked at the invoice it was labled for a DR650 not the DS650. Well I have sent an E-Mail to CPW expressing my situation, I hope it was only a simple mistake and they will be sending me the correct carb. To be fair they were very customer orientated and informative on the phone when I first ordered. Just thought I would share the information with all you DS riders.

Sounds like everyone should be that much more careful when specifying DS650 and make sure the person didn't hear DR650. On my PEP steering damper instructions (which were definatly made for the DS650) the title at the top said "Bombardier DR650."
