Well we went out riding yesterday, and a friend bent the rear axle of his DS (about 3/4") on a stump, he thinks (obviously did not feel like a big hit).

Have taken off the wheels and hubs, have loosened the chain, removed the locking pin arrangement holding the brake disc on and the brake calipers.

The disc will no come fully off, what do we need to do to remove the axle?

Any assistance will be appreciated.

I had bent my axle the second day I had the machine. With the caliber, cinch nut and clip off the disc should slide off. The problem with mine was the sprocket. Once I had the disc off, I had to slide the whole bearing carrier out of the sprocket side. Then I had to use a press to take off the sprocket, first press one direction to move thespocket far enough to remove the clip, then press the sprocket off the axle. Then I needed to press the axle out of the carrier. When putting back together. First press the sprocket on the axle, agian in both direct to get the retaining clip to seat under the sprocket flange. Second place the axle through the bearing carrier and put assemble back throught the swingarm, put on caliper, cinche nut, washer and clip. (with the new axle I did need to press on the sprocket, but I did not need to press the axle back through the bearings and carrier).

Good Luck!
