Rejetting with filter?
#1
I plan on getting either the K&N or Uni filter for my DS. I was wondering if I would have to rejet? Here in south Louisiana we are right at sea level(I believe the highest point in my town is 23 ft. above sea level!). At this level would I be flowing enough extra air to need a rejet? Which filter would be better at this level? I'm not looking for big power gains, just a little extra and better filtering for my engine. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Are you going to run with the air box lid off if so then you will have to for sure I would personally go with the K@N Power Kit with the filter and the jet kit I think that mine was to lean at Sea Level stock it is a 2000 I heard they made some carb changes to the 01 so someone with more info may be able toi help you out with that with my Tip and the airbox lid of and a K@N I have a 175 main and I shimed the needle they didn't have the kit out when I bought the filter I'm going to get the jet kit when I get a pipe I have all the main jets but I cant find a fatter needle and one comes in the kit hope I helped you
