Has any one put in a Alba Piston. If so did you change the cam. Did it help much?

I own neihter, but i'll guarentee that a piston/cam and a valve job will improve everything, bottom/mid/and top end. Big imporvment i'd bet. Porting and carb and hell you'd be able to call it "modified" [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Oh yeah, just the cam and piston and i'm assuming you'd probably actully loose some of your low end, the valve job would clean up the lower range. Somethin like that

Not with our cams[Team Pami]! You don't lose a thing if you chose good cams for the motor that you have. That is why we offer 3 different cam choices.

To make the right selection for you, I would have to look at a few other factors.

1. When you do your 75% time at the dunes, is it alot of drag racing, or jumping and general riding as well?

2. Are you willing to run 95 octane or better fuel for a little more power, or would you prefer pump gas?

3. The mountain riding you do, is it fire roads or tight trails? [What sorts of speeds do you ride at?]

Besides the 3 choices of cams that I might recomend for a quad, we also have a few different compression ratios for our pistons. These questions will help us figure out what combination will be best for your riding and your motor.

I do alot of mixed riding everywhere. I had a 440ex with 11:1 compression and ran well on pump gas at this altitude. I would probably want to stay aroud this ratio. The cam is another decision I would like an all around cam.

I would recomend our 11.2:1 compression piston then[pump gas friendly]as well as our "sport" cams. This combination will give the best combination of ridability and performance for your style of riding.
