speedometer

For $20 you're looking at a bicycle speedo, which are a pain to set up on an ATV. There are a few other ways you can go, one is Trail Tech model which looks really nice. I went another route though - using a GPS which gives you a lot more features as well. To use a GPS as your speedo, you'll need two things: 1. A GPS with a large readout - at 20 MPH it's tough to read it as it has some vibration. 2. A mount of some sort so that you can look at it when you need to. I recommend the R.A.M. Mounts. I bought one recently ($30) for my Garmin GPS12, and I really wish I had bought it much earlier. The RAM mount is high quality, and even when doing some jumping and other stuff that might make an average mount slip and change position or break, this one hasn't moved a bit from where I set it.

Maxima, I have found the best pricing for Ram Mounts at http://www.freshtracksmaps.com/. To see everything Ram offers go to http://www.ram-mount.com/. You can buy direct from Ram as well but it seemed their prices were higher, cheaper if you could find it at one of their distributors.

I went to www.ram-mount.com, looked at their list of resellers, found one that allowed me to order online, and within 10 minutes I had mine ordered from GPSCity.com. The unit arrived quickly as well.
