Geez Biggy,
you sound a little bitter about something. You get screwed by someone over your DS? Or are you one of those guys who buys a sport machine for the first time and don't know how to ride it? Ski-Doo had that problem last year when they started selling a snow cross version of their sleds. People complained they would not handle and rode too rough. But once you opened them up and started pounding thru the rought they are amazing! To many whinners who thought they were buying something cool, did not realize they were buying a high performance machine that you had to know how to ride to appreciate. You sound like one of those guys. Better go and check if you can buy your Honda Type II back...lol

That's it blame it on us !!!!!!!(canadians)

I test rode a DS and I think it's probably one of the worst TRAIL quad I ever rode. Nice suspension thou. pretty quick but dont feel like 250 more cc than my 400ex. and I never got the front end of this thing up long enough to call it a wheely while I can cruise in 4th and 5th on the back wheels of my 400ex. Not Saying the 400ex is a better quad I just compare it to that cuz I have one. But thing I liked the best about it was the shocks...... feel like you floating over little bumps......

Biggy, Get out a little, there are a lot of good mods to make the DS650 fast and handle better. Even stock it is one awesome machine. I have owned and run it against many Raptors, 400EX's and Scramblers and the DS650 holds up better and is more fun to ride. And sorry to say, they are selling 2001 DS650 for $5400 to $5700 Out The Door. If you hate it so much, sell it, but you can't. Why, because you probably paid $7200 plus tax and setup. So why should anybody buy your beat up machine when they can buy new for thousands less. Also check out a GED and you will learn how to spell and punctuate properly when you respond to forums.

Sorry Biggy,
if you are half the tuner or the rider you claim to be you would know how to make the DS handle like you want it too. I never changed a thing on mine, except the rear tires, (22" realators, and on hard pack dirt, this thing was the wheelie King!), adjusted the toe-in and camber to as close to spec as I could, and thought the machine ran great on the trails. As far as break downs, maybe you got a lemon, every manufacture has one once and awhile.

well for the record ill race the ds with my 400in a drag race any day ...and win ! you better have a big bore if you wanna stay with me ...then if you wanna stay with me in the woods you better tie a rope to me because you will be destroyed ..and hit the mx track same thing ..ill even paddle up and race you !! and yes I can get into great detail about how to setup a quad ..the ds can not be "setup" the ride height isnt able to be lowerd enuf to make this quad handle .the crankshaft output and the swingarm pivit point are to far apart. you can take the tires of the ds and it still sits higher than most race quads ...

biggy,

if you're not a brager, why don't you just quit it? "I'm not brager, but the trophy is in front of me and I'm better than the Bombardier engineers and I'm faster than you and I can setup a quad better than you". uh. not bragging?
In offroad conditions, you have to know that the rider chooses what he feels better on (whatever machine it is), not the "best" machine. So if you can't handle the big DS, why did you buy it? And if you got it knowing it was a big desert quad (and even if you got it not knowing it...you should have done your homework), you were wrong and can't admit that.

Oh BTW, when you find any quad with adjustable height (with stock suspension, obviously), tell me.

And if you were a real sponsored racer, first off, you wouldn't have got a DS (unless you're stupid...oh wait), and if you got the DS "for a trail quad", you could have afforded TimmyBoy AArms (which removes twitchiness...dixit fourlix and some others), a good set of shocks (with adjustable height you seem to care so much about...not cheap recreational shocks like Works).

Bottom line is you can't handle a big boy, are frustrated about it and break our %$lls. Actually, you could have both first points without bothering us, but you have to come over and talk $hit about everything. Except yourself.

My conclusion : wether you realize all you typed in this topic is bashing/talking crap or you keep on going, and in this case, you're full of it.
