I posted a topic in the suzuki forum called new suzuki yuck. I think it's disgusting looking because the front end is just a rip off of a raptor.

yea, it looks like raptor plastic. So what? When there are quite a few different designs of ATV plastic out there, it might be hard to create something TOTALLY new and different. Give Suzuki props for joining in on the sport quad race! Looks like it might be a good, competitive (spelling?) quad!

I have confidence in this bike. Suzuki's RM bikes are great, and very competitive. I know that motor in the quad is a good one too...

man, when you put a raptor picture next to a Z400 one, it's funny as hell.

so what if it looks EXACTLY LIKE a raptor? they would have just copied honda 250R plastic or maybe some 400EX plastic anyways... it's hard to be original these days!

No, it is not air cooled. You want to know anything about the bike, pick up a magazine or go to Suzukis web site and look at the specs for the DRZ dirtbike, then detune it. This Quad, Which was referred to a few months back by you people on here as the Quadracer 400, is exactly what I said it would be almost a year ago. A DRZ Powered, Electric start, reverse trail bike weighing 370-380 pounds and putting out about 30-34 hp.

I think it looks sweet, who can blame them for mimicking the raptor as well as borrowing design cues from the DS. After all they are the two best looking quads out IMO. It sounds like a nice machine, I'll reserve judgement untill after I have ridden one.

It looks like another top heavy, light duty "pop can" quad, that won't stand up to the abuse you can put on a DS. I have yet to lose a holeshot to a Raptor Banshee or 400EX, because the riders always have to lean so far over the quad to keep it from doing a wheelie, which makes them always lose traction in the rear. It's so funny. Why didn't Suzuki or Cannondale put the radiator down low like the DS. The DS design is superior. Guaranteed we will read all the same complaints from new Suzuki owners again like: I bent this, or broke that on my quad. Cry, whine, pout, why did I buy another toy quad.
I think the new Z400 looks cool, but why buy that or a Raptor, Banshee, 400EX, when for a $1000 more you can get a quad with the most quality suspension (by far), strongest frame, strongest axle, strongest and wider a-arms, tougest chain, and more stock power than any other quad (with the exception of the equaly powered Cannondale).
The Cannondale is not even in the same league as the DS because the Rotax engine is proven to be bullet proof, whereas the Cannondale engine has ALWAYS been questionable and unreliable.

C'mon now. Don't get me wrong the DS is a nice quad, but it's not the end to be all greatest, superior in everyway, better than anything else built out there. I don't want to start a flame or anything, but every quad has it's good points and bad. I think it's great that we are getting new choices for quads. Maybe some people don't one of the most expensive, widest, and heaviest,(close to 500 hundred pounds, well 460 to be exact) quads made. Alot of the trails I ride on the DS wouldn't even come close to fitting on them. Anyway, my point is it's cool that were finally getting some new quads to choose from. The only thing I don't like is it looks just like a Raptor.
