Is the valve adjustment easy to do on a DS-650? Do I need a shop manual? Got my machine broken in now. Going to change oil and check the valves or get someone else to.

Checking them is not all that hard, but if you don't know how to do it, I wouldn't try adjusting them yourself. It involves cam removal and measurements with a micometer. Check them, and if they need to be adjusted[I wouldn't think that they need it yet] take it to a good shop.
