Scooby,
I don't know if your calcs are right,but a horspower number around 85 seems consistent with other quads I have run (raced)with the equivilent hp number.I would be, by no means dissapointed at 86 horspower.One of these days I will get it back on a Dyno.
So are you saying 4th gear is the correct gear to Dyno at?

On very old dyno's, scooby's calculations may be true, but modern dyno's eliminate that factor. The dyno measures the MPH that the drum turns as well as the RPM the motor turns to calculate the RPM/MPH, hence gear ratio, and corrects for that. I've tested bikes on the dyno in both 3rd and 4th, to get the exact same results from each. Trust me, no one is more anxoius than I am to get his bike back on a dyno to see if the calculations hold water.

Jeff, It looks like I may be displaying at the dealers show in Reno after presidents day, any chance your bike will be done by then? I'd love to show it, instead of mine. It would be great to have charts by then as well.
