Mysteried. I feel your pain-LOL. You made a good point with your last sentence. You know I waited over 6 weeks beforing posting this situation. I really thought they would contact me asking for the defective product and send me a GOOD one. WOW i must be very naive? I have e-mailed them on several occassions with no reply. I would have been willing to wait however long for them to get this corrected version out if they would have only made some attempt to contact me? OH well.

I don't want to be the one dissenting member in this thread but whatever happened to "Caveat Emptor" (buyer beware for you less edumacated folks) - quit whining and do a little research! I get Dirt Wheels every month and anxiously read it from cover to back multiple times and could have told about this defect. Tell you what, keep my email info in your address book and contact me next time before you buy something - I'll provide a full review for free!

Les

Les, Les,Les, you sound like a little guy who just got his M.B.A. from a small college in the south while working at a bank. I have had to deal with you before and I am not suprised??

I'll bet that DG took skid plates they had in stock, found they would fit the DS and sold them without checking the drain hole location.
KaiserSosei, you should make a special wrench to get to your drain plug and just let the oil fly.(LOL) The first oil change I did on a car I overtightend the filter and oil ran everywhere when I started it. Changing the oil on a DS comes in a close second to that.

Its a funny thing Mystereid, when you turn the plate upside down and line everything up the hole in the plate lines up with oil plug of the DS- go figure- Talk about A$$ backwards. I guess eventually I will drill another hole in the plate hopefully in the right place. Funny story about your oil change , I know now why you are not suppose to overtighten the oil filter?
