Why buy a new fan? If it's broke get rid of it. I haven't had one in about a year now. I even went as far as putting in a Heatseeker by Warp Drive. It's a temp. gauge. I do lots of desert and sand riding in some pretty hot temps. The hottest I've recorded so far is 160 degrees.

....When my fan went out my engine overheated and boiled over. Most of the coolant went into the recovery bottle but it was STEAMING HOT. I was trail riding, slow going, last summer. I replaced the fan with one from OffRoadWarehouse.com which was here in about a week. The broken fan I sent back to the dealer, who replaced it in about 6 weeks. So I have a spare in the garage. Then I added a front pusher for insurance, also from OffRoadWarehouse.
....... Some of our summer riding is way too hot and slow for no fan.
