That's some good info. I wouldn't follow it exactly, since it's a different motor and carb, but it's a start. I like the idea of drilling the vacume port instead of searching for springs, but be sure to not go too large too soon.

CALDS650,
Thanks for the carb site. I've scene it before but did not put a save on it. Never thought I would be working on a cv type carb. Carb tuning is very tedious. Last year I spent 6 weeks tunig my sons lectron carb.
Then when we went to the drags they bumped him up a class because of carb.
That is why I will spend alot of time dialing in the stock carb so as to stay in stock class.

Knutz,
As you can see, by the classes we are running at, there is no class for just modified. In open there are always a few guys with very exotic motors.
I am going to request a new class be added.
The Pack had a good day.

I have talked to a aftermarket ignition company and they say they will have a programmable ignition system in january 2002. When it looks like it is for real I will share the name. In the last year I was told by two carb companies that they would have there new product available in 60 days.
Calds650 - You have worked with one of them. The other company in wisconsin has not yet after 11 months came thru.

I'm working on a Top Secret induction deal as well. I'm not happy with the performance of the 45MM, and dual carbs are hard to sell when you tell customers that you have to modify the frame. I'm hoping I won't take 11 months to get it out to you all though.

I haven't given the detail, so I can spare your lives for now. LOL

If it gives the results I'm expecting, I'll be happy to tell everyone, as soon as possible.

I'm expecting better top end power than anything currently available, no loss in bottom end, and it should be very affordable.

Does that sound good to anyone?

Give me a month or two.

This is the first time I've heard of drilling out the vacum port on the slide, I guess the idea is that you will get quicker throttle response?? anybody tried this?

Cheap horsepower. It can only get better if you tell me it improves fuel economy and that I can go all day on a tank of gas.
