Vegas650....Well i hope by some chance you guys can make it.I would really like to see 703 perform becuse the 703 would be more around my means. P.S loose the raptor boy and come ride with DS MEN!!(LOL)

 

Just a little directional info for you out-of-towners. I-15 exit in Baker and take hwy 127 (theres an Arco AM-PM gas station and a greek food restrant on the corner) east 32 miles. You will pass some small dunes on the right, these are NOT Dumont. Continue on to a wide dirt road on the right, there may be a sign if someone hasn't stole it. Take the dirt road aprox 2 miles or until you run into the dunes, park where ever you want. There is nothing there but pit toilets for 20 miles so be sure to bring everything you need including water. The weather there is usualy in the 60 deg. range and mid 40s at night. Though you should always be prepared for sudden high winds and blowing dust, its almost always nice weather.
Yah, I know I sound like the Dumont visiters bureau but what the hay...

sand45, No I wont be going that weekend but I will be there on presidents day. January is always bad for the finances. If you guys can put off until Pres. day there will be plenty of DSs there. I would even be willing to bet knutz & vegas650 will be there then, its the biggest weekend for Dumont.
On second thaught, the weekend you have planned there will be a minimal crowd and the dunes will be awsome. Damn! you guys are going to have a great time, wish I could go.
We are planning a trip to Oregon this summer but never been there so we will be looking for the best places to go. When the time comes maybe you can direct us and, if you can, come up and ride.

 

Sand, sorry but I will not be able to make it. My buddies wife is expecting a baby and so he does not want to go that far and we both decided if we are going that far, we want more time to ride and I just could not get any more time off.

Well everyone of my friends that said they would go have BACKED OUT!! SO this only leaves me now!!So i will take this trip my self but the rules have changed now.I will go to Glamis instead just for the reason that there will be more people.I would feel better riding in a area with alot more people just incase i wipe out.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

Knutz and I were at Dumont this weekend and whipped the dogdo out of all 4 strokes and many 2 strokes. He was leaning toward meating you guys at Dumont instead of going to Glamis with me for MLK weekend. Sand, if you decided to go to Glamis I'll let you know where we are camping as soon as I find out. I've never been there so as soon as I talk to Raptor720 and find out where I'm going to meet him, I'll let you know. Also I believe AZSAND may come out to play also.

 

vegas650....Im purty sure im going solo so i can do both hit dumont jan--17-18 and then glamis 19-22.Im going down there for sure no matter what!! So let me know were you guys are going to camp and ill be there!!Thanks ALOT (I hate to riding alone)

 

yes vegas i will be @ the dunes that weekend i will be @ gordons well.but will load up the ds in my truck and head over for the drags
@ night you will notice my bike on the hill so you don't have to worry about where to meet me. i was there this weekend raced a pami
and beat my frist alky.my son did his frist 100 plus flat lander
it was ugly but it was his frist.well got to go its time to go earn my dune money.
