Looking for new tires!
#1
I am looking to get new tires but i just cant decide what to get. I have the factory dominators on and i think they suck. I hear of the difference the ohtsu made on the baja and i like that tire.I have also been looking at maxxis all track rears and pro fronts, bandit rears and fronts. im looking for something with good grip, kind of an all around tire. Any pros or cons to the tires ive listed.I hear the ohtsu wear really fast, is it just a soft compound tire. I appreciate any info to help me decide, on any tire at that!!

Roost... Both me and a friend have Ohtsu my self on the baja and him on a 400ex.He rides his quad everywhere in mud, snow, dirt, sand. I dont think there is a place where these tires would not do good. The rubber is soft so they will prb where fast, but thats why they work so well. You cant go wrong with a set of Ohtsu thats for sure!! P.S. Did you find out why you lost some of your top end ?

my friend had Bandits on his 300Ex for awhile. The lugs were kinda hard & when they were wet they weren't much good for climbing up creek banks & hard packed dirt hills.
I have Turf Tamers & really like them. I had Holeshot XCT's on my Scrambler they were good too. My girls 400 has the Ohtsu & they are a nice tire too.

rostinonyou- That guy in kerville has a set of honda radials- looked like 95 percent thread on them. He wanted 100 for the rears on yamaha rims. If you are interested in the tires only, i would by the rims. He will probably be going to kermit in jan. with us. Let me know. Rex has his phone number.
