Well I got my DS today and everything is working fine with the exception of one thing. After I parked it I noticed gas leaking out of the bottom. I looked and a pretty steady stream of gas is coming out of a bolt towards the rear/bottom of the engine. I turned off the fuel and that shut it off. I tried tightning it but it was already pretty tight. I'm taking it to the dealer this weekend but does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

Are you sure its not the overflow from the Carburator? It may be your float in your carburator is set to high and is coming out the Over flow line and gives it the appearance of coming from the "bolt".

It's coming out even when the motor is shut off.

Tap on the float bowl of the carb lightly with a wrench. Your float is stuck.

Yea thats right, The reason why its coming out more with the motor not running, is because the motor is using some of the gas. and when its not running all the gas comes out faster. I think that makes sense. anyway your float is probably stuck.

I'm going to keep throwing out dumb questions because it's been a while since I've owned one. On all the yamahas and hondas I owned the choke would push all the way in where I couldn't even see the metal part on this machine it doesn't seem like it moves very far. Maybe my choke is not pushed in far enough? I tried pushing it in but it was tough and I didn't want to break anything. I don't have an owners manual.

Well, if it was me I would take it out and ride the HELL out of it, Then park it. then I would see if it is still leaking, start tapping on it with a wrench like Ken said. If that does'nt work, take it to the dealer unless you feel confident in taking the Carb off and fixing it youself.

The choke has two clicks out, If you pull on it and it clicks once, then pull agian and it click agian, then It was fine to begin with. The metal does show even when its all the way in.
