Here, I'll try this again, and see if the moderator will delete it for some unknown reason.
Here's a quote that I took out of an artilce in maximumsled.com.

Bombardier’s four-stroke engine entry is a V-twin configuration that also finds its way into their watercraft and ATVs. This 1000cc plant is specifically configured for snowmobiles, but the company wants its customers to know that Rotax has been supplying this type of technology to BMW and Aprilia for their motorcycles in Europe. The significance of this, of course, is that they are not starting from scratch. The V-1000 4-TEC uses an 80-degree piston orientation that eliminates the need for a balance shaft. The shape also delivers a low center of gravity. Other features include, water-cooling, dry sump lubrication, heated throttle body, alternator charging system and electric start.

I still kind of think it was a mistake on the part of the journalist, cause I don't believe that Bombardier is coming out with a 1000cc quad, but then again, you never know what Bombardier will do next.

They could esily use the engine configuration.I don't think it would be hard to decrease the displacemnt and use the same bottom end.
I can see an 750-800 v-twin Quest coming out of all that. After all ,what was the largest displacement sport quad before the DS? I hope I'm right thinking that the DS came out before the Raptor.
