Cannondale smokes DS ??

Ahhhhhhhh, does any of this really matter?
I just traded my 400EX on a Cannondale Speed. I'm way impressed with the quality of work. I was a Non-destructive inspector and those welds are concederd Art, much better than the welds on my Honda, my Bud DS and old quadracer.
Any of you ever hear of 95% rider 5% bike rule. I watched Sand45 go against Cannondales and Raptors and other DS on Presidents Day at Dumont Dunes. He won some, he lost some, but he's still riding.
Which is better, what can you afford, why did you buy that, who cares as long as each of you are happy with your ride. My buds DS can't keep up in the tight stuff with my old 400, so what. I couldn't keep up on the flats. (nows a different story).
I looked at the Bombs, rode my buds and didn't like it, is it a bad bike, Nope just not for me.
I looked at Raptors and Banshee's, I don't like two strokes and the Raptors STOCK didn't impress me. Can I build a higher displacement Cannondale, YES. Will I? No. It plenty fast now, so we'll see.
Go ride, have fun, roost your buds when they get stuck.
For clarity I have seen several small block Chevies walk awat from Big Block Chevies. So it's not just displacement, it's the package.

I'm glad that you're pleased with your Cannondale. I haven't had a chance to ride one yet. Not too many people in my area have one yet. I only saw one on our trip to Little Sahara (Waynoka, OK) a few weeks ago. I'm sure that will change soon since there are more dealers picking them up. To tell you the truth, I'd like to take one for a spin, but I'm sure that I'll stick with the DS650. I think that for me, the DS is just the perfect quad.

Well said Smitty. I consider the whole machine to be art. That it has been so rugged and
dependable is Icing on the cake. Some 'get' the Cannon, some don't, OK by me.
The raptors and ds' I line up against usually 'get' the Cannibal. When they catch up.
<< those welds are considered Art, much better than the welds on my Honda, my Bud DS and old quadracer.

I have seen a small block(302)ford beat the crap out of small and big block chevies and small and big block mopars. At my local dragstrip..Muhahaha..Ok back to the subject..What is the top speed of a Cannon anyway? And what is the top speed of a Baja? I know that a Cannon is only supposed to be about 2 mph faster then a regular DS and a Raptor.. Right?
