you have a cheap a$$ 2001 raptor, i can pick one of those up for $4000 barely used. a ds will rip your craptor a new a$$hole. i have never raced a ds but my cannibal spanked a piped raptor.

Why do we have a Raptor owner and a C-dale owner talking smack on the Bomb forum. Don't they have their own playgrounds?

 

Look at past issues of ATVsport magazine, the DS smokes the Raptor in acceleration. I race them all the time on 300 foot sanddrag tracks and they aren't close.

 

I think it's ALL THE RIDER when mods are matched up so evenly! Who can shift quicker, traction, ect.

 

i have ran plenty of raptors with different type pipes at the drag strip back when all i had was a RON WOOD pipe.sent all of them home with their tails between their legs. beat them by 1 1/2 quad length in th 1/8 mile and 3 lenghts in the 1/4. but i'm still looking for a raptor to beat this ron wood stage three ds.

 

Ok here is the facts, bar none, non Biased. The whole truth and nothing but the truth. My brother has a Raptor and I have the DS. He used to beat me from time to time until I finaly got it jetted properly. By the way we are very even in mods. Anyway after that I flat out smoked him period. In about 300', I take him by about 3-4 lengths in the dirt and on pavement it is about 6 lengths. I outway him by 40 lbs to boot. That is a 100 lb difference total. I am looking forward to racing him after I step up to the 22&quot; Bandits and see what happens. I think he will be surprised then for sure just how bad I will beat him. Right now 1st gear is useless in the dirt. The crappy Dominator tires just spin, spin, spin. With hookup and a useable first gear, OUCH!!!!

velo- my group is pretty intense at on the stip, bomb vs raptor. NOBODY wants to be the first loser!!! Back at the trailer we all get along. I enjoy the fierce competition! When we race 2 or 3 ds's vs 2 or 3 raptors EVERYBODY on the line is giving it there all. Every one is looking for the best line to launch off of, remember what happened in the last race.....

I have met and ridden with quite a few members of this forum. The debate over the fastest will never be finished....

 

Well guies do you know what it is? This is the first time that 2 different companies have made big bad high performance sport quads at the same time That both have different looks than any other quads in the past. Both are very fast for stock bikes and are in the 650-660 cc range and the fact that they run real close to each other is another reason why people get all crazy when it comes to the two competing against each other. But i think it should be all in fun. Whats up with people hating each other just because they ride a different quad.
