OH NO! did i blow my head gasket?
#1
the past 3 weeks ive noticed coolent on the right side of my motor and my leg after i run it wide open. but when i look at it i dont see a leak anywhere, it runs great and no power loss, idles fine. so i never could find the leak. well today i got home and went and made 2 nos passes down my street and my leg was soaking wet with coolent but when i look down i dont see any leak? sooo i took off my front plastic so i could see the radiator while riding. i went and made a long pass down my street wide open on the motor this time, and i saw coolent gushing out of the little hole in the top of the black cap on the radiator overflow bottle, the little clear bottle in front the radiator. when im 3/4 throttle or more it shoots out the little hole like its under pressure. but when i let off it stops leaking? the motor never does miss or kill? it still pulls very hard. so whats wrong? this cant be normal? the bottom end of my motor is stock. never been apart. just the cylinder and head have been off. any thoughts on this one guys ?:

yes it is a head gasket problem. I have had this problem with my turbo. Compression and/or exhaust is leaking into coolant passages adjacent to the cylinder wall. I ended up having my cylinder O-ring'd with a stainless ring, a receiver groove added to the head, cylinder and head re-surfaced for flatness, and a copper head gasket made.

I can't help on the gasket, other than to order a custom one for you. Our 105 bore uses our own cylinder, and the gaskets are not the same shape. CT racing did some work on 105 bores on stock cylinders, maybe they can help.
We do use stronger studs[on our 105MM bore], so I can get those for you if you need.
