Everybody wants to get something cheaper, supply and demand 4 to 1 raptors to ds it don't take a genius to figure out what they are going to sell more parts for.

Don I think all the ds owners appreciate your niche. And advise.

Knutz, I was not trying to point the finger at you, I love the bombardier and I just wish there were more aftermarket products for it.

I understand the reason there is not and also the reason pricing is higher.

I am getting nailed by the irs, Al I feel your pain, and so none of my machines are getting modded at the moment, I might even sell the raptor, but that is another story. I don't want to go into my problems.

It is kind of frustrating that bombardier doesnt support the aftermarket more and also their customers. They have bombardier direct and you cant even order a repair manual from them. I had to order and order sheet and then get a money order to mail to canada to get a repair manual. sheesh they need to be more customer friendly to earn more business.

It is frustrating not having a local dealer either. But that is another story.

I am sorry if it came off like I was venting, but I was a little. But this was not targeted at you Don. I hope you understand.

Bat

Hang in there Knutz. I think that with Bombardier's new approach to marketing & the increasing popularity of the DS650 the demand will pick up greatly soon. I know that I've personally spoken with and heard about a lot of people wanting to make the jump to the DS. I just think that they see the price tag without understanding exactly what they're getting for their hard earned dollar. I think that things are coming around though. I just think that it took Bombardier's marketing department a while longer to catch on than it should have. I've also noticed that some of the local dealers are knocking some off of the price tag on remaining '01 models. Quite a bit in some cases.

Sand , I did do the gearing change and went with the 8 paddle 22" Haulers. Skat Track was so far back with production on the extremes and I could never get an answer from the vendors that they suggested, so I bought a pair of the regulars ones that a dealer had. I also just got the Dyno jet kit and hope to dial it in a bit better. As far as my post, my son just bought a 97 Bannshe with a little motor work, T-5's, K&N's and a bunch of chrome for $4500. He kicks my #@%$ on the hills and the drags. I know I'll never be the fastest; I'd just like to compete.

Shocks, carbs, filters, cams, piston( almost 250 for a 686 raptor) are all to dam high on most quads. Really to high on the bomb. Some of my friends have kicked the idea around to have pistons etc. made to order. Cut out the middleman. I was going to have a piston made by wiseco a few years back. ( actually i was going to have to do 10 min.) Just bought a pair of 6 month old TCS zero-preloads for the raptor. 350.00 dollars. 2 plus 2 axcel for 150. That is what they should be to start with. But...... How fast do you want to spend. It keeps the riff-raff out. lol

Bat- the 686 rips, I can only dream of running 703's. I doubt my bomb riders are going to step up for the 703 or 760. Way to much $$$$$ Mine should be a little quicker than kingraptor's for the moment. If any of the local boys get close....Fcr carbs at 900.00 dollars. There i go again, thinking of ordering more overpriced parts.
