ok, the baja has had a different A-arm set up in the past but the 2002 std DS's have different a-arms than the last years so what exactly is the difference is the std. set up for the dunes, and the baja for baja (du). but it will be a while before i get either so i probly wont be able to get the baja for only $99 more. I will be rinding on trails and roads until i start racing (baja) so which should i get. is the steering really that much better on the baja? thanks

I am certainly partial to the yellow plastic, but for $99, the Baja has a bunch of really good stuff, like good tires, a tach, better wheels, better lights, a little better CDI. On the flip side, a Baja would still be better with TimmyBoy uppers, 22" rear tires, Pami or RW CDI. And you will need decent front shocks regardless of which you get.

For $99 extra dollars you get something like 25 extra pounds. The regular DS is heavy enough. But on the other hand, the reingforced wheels and the tach are worth the extra hundred bucks, plus you could remove some of the junk like that useless silencer guard to help lose some weight. The ohtsu tires are nice as well, but I hear they aren't very durable.
