No new stator required, stock puts out plenty of wattage.
The Baja light kit is available from dealerships for $129.00 - at least that's what they quoted me a couple months ago. They have to order it from Bombardier. Its a complete kit, with lights, aluminum guards, wiring, etc.
I talked to Ricky Stator about their bullet lights with billet bar mount, they don't yet offer them for the DS. This is the way I want to go, so that I have a light set that turns with the bars for nightime dune riding. One pointing where the bike is going, another pointing where I want the bike to turn...

Diamond G Racing sells a steering stem for the DS and an optional bar mount for the bullet lights. These are the best lights on the market, if you want to see a picture www.diamondgracing.com
