is it true that it's harder to get the same HP gains from bolt on mods to the DS vs the HP gains you get from Raptor bolt-ons???

DSAPP- it is cheaper to modd the raptor to start with. Long term they might be the same if you have to replace the tranny. Looks like a bunch of DS's are starting to have some major problems though. Only time will tell.

DSAPP, what bolt-ons are you talking about? Pipe-filter and jets? Then the DS is cheaper for the same Power. But if your talking about Pistons,cams,BIG-BORE,then the Raptor is cheaper. It looks like you can get 60-65hp out of the Raptor Alot cheaper than the DS. But if you match suspension,A-arms,and Axle's, To make the Raptor stable with the Extra power, I think the Bikes are pretty close to the same money.

Like I said, I am no expert, But I will put my Modded Endcap, jetkit, and Filter(total $140) agianst any Raptor will similar bolt-ons, and I will win as many as I will loose.

I mainly talking about pipe / filter / jets...

if you put the same combo on both the Raptor and the DS, which one would better respond?

With the same combo, Both bikes will run EXTREMLY close, and will come down to the rider. I'm biased, so I will give the edge to ths DS.he he.
