-1 swingarm

Who out there has a -1" swingarm? How do you like it, how does the bike jump, wheelie, what effect on drags, etc.? How much lighter than stock is it, how much difference in front weight bias, etc.? What did it cost, from where?
Anybody got an aftermarket in stock length? Same questions above apply...

Jbomb has one on his DS. It looks great! I think he wheelies-up more easily than a stocker, but its not "3wheeler-like", Just makes the front lighter under acceleration . Maybe he will jump in and tell us if he would buy the same one agian,Or not.
HEY! Jbomb, you got your ears on?

Kicking around the idea of a shorter swingarm huh HITOWER? That may not be a bad decision. It would probably make the front end light enuff to wheelie and get more play out of that big machine. The idea of shortening the chain may be an easy way to find out if you like it or not.

I have the Timmyboy -1. I strickly dune with this bike and love it. Going through the whoops is easier because you can keep the front end up easier. On dirt is where I notice it the most because of the traction gain. Drag racing is a little harder because it will wheelie a little easier. Overall I love it.

Taking links out and moving the adjustment forward will only give you a half inch, but not a bad idea. You'd have to break the chain and install a master link to change front sprockets though, and you couldn't go bigger, only smaller. I go from 16 to 17 from time to time, 16 the most. I could no longer go to 17.

I guess it would feel pretty close to, about the same as the +2 on the Rap. It's definitely strong enough for it ~ it just needs a little weight transssssfer. And like you said, the thought of losing 25lbs right off the nose - that's a tremendous gain. Now you would be gettin that a$$ end hooking up more and not just spinning off the line of the drags.
