Pro-Armor aluminum products for the DS
#1
You've probably seen the skids offered by Pro-Armor, they look really sweet. The swing skid is 1/4" thick, anybody have one to comment on, I think I might get it?
Also, i just talked to them, they are working on sideframe guards to match their alum heat shield, and I also suggested an alum sprocket guard and radiator shrouds. He said later this summer...

Crashnburn - can you tell if the a-arm guards will fit a yeller DS? They have the curve of the baja arms, I'm not sure how they will mount up to the standard arms. I e-amiled pro-Armor about it, the next day the website was changed to offer them only for Baja, then a few days later it was back to listing them for both..??..

I recently got a full set for the Baja. The a-rms, glide plate and swingarm plate all fit great.
All are easy to install with the swingarm plate being a little harder to install than the others. It mounts to the stock plastic 'gliders' on the swingarm and you have to stick a wrtench in a tight space to get it to bolt up. Not a big deal.
I did notice a little less ground clearence in the rear while riding in rutted out sand washes.
Overall very nice!

<< Mike330R - are you saying that swing skid mounts over the top of the stock plastic skids, or in their place, bolted to the same spot?
Also, can you answer my previous question about whether or not the a-arm guards fit the yellow DS? >>
Yes mounts over/too the 2 plastic skid rails. It's not really a skid plate (stock) it's just 2 rails.
Not sure about the Yellow DS. Call or e-mail them.
