I have no experience with them, but I read the Dirtwheels test ride. They are not the same North American craftsmanship of the DS650, they are made by a Taiwan company that also makes several other brands of mini quads too, like the ones you see at Wal-Mart and such. The article said it was a decent ride, with decent suspension if I remember correctly, but that it was lacking in the power dept. and hard to get a launch for little jumps, but if you did get it off the ground it landed nice. I know this may not matter to a 6 year old, but when he gets a little older it may. You always gotta question what the magazines write though, so I would be interested in hearing what somebody that has one says....

The test also said the were a matenance nightmare, just like all the other tawaniese made mini's, maybe you should look into the Honda SporTrax 90 or Suzuki QuadSport80, those are good little proven bikes that have been out forever. Just a suggestion.

I read in one mag out there (cant remeber what one) that bomb decided to take the mini quads back in house (werent happy w/quality or reviews). Someone on this forum with closer factory ties might be able to confirm. The mag was atv action or dirt wheels I think. Someone might remeber the issue the editor(or someone who has his own column) was discussing what each manufacturer out there did that was a let down and how they could make it up to us buyers.

Good luck and let me know what u decide. And how u like whatever you buy Ive got a little one (3mo) and hes already askin for one.... Atleast thats what I think hes sayin.

I don't know much about the little Bomby's but I can tell yo that my nephew (5 years old) has been riding his first ATV, a Kasea 50cc,for almost a year now without any problems. I think his next step will be the kasea 90 and his sister (almost 4) will get to try the 50. It's does really well on the trails, including some decent hill, stream crossings etc. It has been very stable and reliable. I know Trinity had, or has performance parts for the Kasea 90 and I had found a place with a pipe for the 50cc.

I just recently picked up a Yerf Dog 90cc 2-stroke for my son. It is completly kid and burn friendly. The throttle is completly adjustable and all hot areas are covered. The gas\oil mix is all automated so I don't need to mix it. The quad is a little big for hime considering he's only 4 but with the adjustable throttle I figure he can grow into it.

The Yerf Dog line is more well known for there go carts but I have seen some good reviews from there quads lines as well. Besides I got a killer deal on it, it's a 01 and I got it for $1200.

And this thing is fast. When I went to look at it the guy asked me if I wanted to ride it. I figured that the thing wouldn't move with me on it. (6'1" 210lbs) I tell you what, the front end came off the ground and that thing was getting squirly. I told my wife "oh yeah, I gotta have this"

I'm not trying to take business away from BOMB, I love mine, but just offering some opinions. I to looked at the DS90, but it was a little more than I wanted to spend on his first quad.

how about the power on the bomb? i read on their site that the 90 only goes 20mph? geeez his electric jeep goes that fast!!!!! he's a good rider on his xr50 but wants to ride with the old man and i dont want to put him on a slow quad, 30 mph is fast enough!......right?
